On the afternoon of July 3, the research group held a graduate student academic exchange meeting with the research team of Professor Yujie Lu from the Civil Engineering School of Tongji University. The exchange meeting, held online on the zoom meetings platform, was jointly hosted by Professor Nan Li and Professor Yujie Lu. In total, 26 students and professors of the two research groups participated in this meeting.
The exchange meeting was divided into three parts. First, the two professors briefly introduced the research situation and related fields of their respective research groups. Then, the graduate students from Tsinghua University, Tongji University and National University of Singapore briefly introduced their research work one by one. The research fields covered urban infrastructure resilience, economic system disaster resilience, human disaster response behavior, low-carbon and energy-saving buildings, intelligent construction, operation, and maintenance, etc. Finally, the two professors briefly summarized the meeting by highlighting its value, pointing out some research problems and methods that both groups are interested in and can jointly explore, and discussed the mechanism of subsequent communication.
This event has further strengthened the interactions between the two research groups, offering the students a platform to broaden their academic vision and scholarly network. Specifically, the exchange meeting was a driving factor for students to exchange academic knowledge and experience, and carry out interdisciplinary research and cooperation in the future.
