On the afternoon of September 28, an exchange meeting to discuss the mid-term development progress and subsequent cooperation plan for the Digital City Laboratory of the School of Civil Engineering and Water Conservancy of Tsinghua University was successfully held at the Glodon Co., Ltd offices in Beijing. The main participants included Dean Dongping Fang, Professor Jianping Wu, Professor Xinzheng Lu, Associate Professor Nan Li, Assistant Researcher Jiarui Lin, several PhD students of the Schools of Civil Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering of Tsinghua University, Assistant President and General Manager of Digital City Business Department of Glodon Chuanchuan Yang, Assistant President and General Manager of Platform Technology Center Yabo Miao, Manager of BIM/GIS Platform Department Yongqiang Du, and a number of R&D team members.
The meeting started with General Manager Xiangchuan Yang warmly welcoming Dean Dongping Fang and his party. He then briefly reported the development progress made by Glodon with regard to digital city technologies and introduced the main purpose of the meeting. Dean Dongping Fang reviewed the original intentions establishing the Digital City Laboratory of the School of Civil Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering of Tsinghua University, analyzed the implementation challenges, and highlighted the need for further in-depth cooperation on the CIM platform project. After that, Associate Professor Nan Li gave a report on the mid-term development progress of the Digital City Laboratory. Then, Shihai Chen, Senior Product Manager of Glodon Digital City Division, demonstrated the application of Glodon’s CIM platform system in specific projects. Finally, an in-depth exchange between the experts attending the meeting was conducted regarding the technical issues identified in the CIM platform.
During the meeting, both parties also had a lively discussion on how to establish an effective communication mechanism and leverage the advantages of the CIM platform. Also, the Tsinghua Park was proposed as an application case for the CIM platform, and a number of agreements were reached. Both parties agreed to actively invest in the development of the Digital City Laboratory through further in-depth cooperation, so as to jointly contribute to the emergence of China’s digital cities.
