At the graduation ceremony held on the morning of June 25, 2021, Academician Jianguo Nie announced the list of the 2021 outstanding graduates of the School of Civil Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering of Tsinghua University. Fucheng Zhang, a graduate of this research group, was awarded the title of outstanding graduate of higher education in Beijing (abbreviated as "Outstanding Graduate of Beijing"). He is the only graduate from the School of Civil Engineering and Hydraulic Engineering to be awarded this title this year. Prior to this, Fucheng Zhang's master's thesis was also awarded the award of Excellent Master’s Thesis of Tsinghua University after being recommended by the department, nominated by the Degree Assessment Committee, reviewed by the Graduate School, and approved by the University Council.

Fucheng Zhang graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He was recommended to Tsinghua University for a master's degree in construction management without taking an exam. Under the guidance of Associate Professor Nan Li, he was engaged in the study of urban human mobility patterns under extreme weather events. During his postgraduate studies, Fucheng Zhang has won many scholarships and other honors, participated in a number of research projects, and published many SCI papers and international conference papers. It is hoped that Fucheng Zhang will continue to maintain his excellent conducts and habits in the future, live up to the expectations and make persistent efforts to achieve greater success.
